Refund Policy

Jharkhand Foundation Kendra ("JFK", "we", "our", or "us") is a registered non-profit organisation committed to transparency and donor trust. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be considered for donations made through our website www.jharkhandfoundationkendra.org. Please read this policy carefully before making any donation.

2. General Policy on Donations

All donations made to Jharkhand Foundation Kendra are voluntary contributions intended to support our charitable programmes. As a general rule, all donations are non-refundable once they have been processed and received by JFK. This is consistent with standard practices for non-profit organisations in India.

By completing a donation, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy and agree to its terms.

3. Eligible Refund Circumstances

A refund request may be considered only in the following exceptional situations:

Duplicate Transactions: If you were charged more than once for the same donation due to a technical error, the duplicate amount will be refunded in full.
Incorrect Amount: If an incorrect amount was deducted from your account due to a technical or processing error on our end.
Unauthorised Transaction: If a donation was made without your knowledge or consent and you report it within 48 hours of the transaction.
Payment Gateway Error: If payment was deducted but the transaction was not completed or confirmed on our system.

Please Note: Change of mind, personal circumstances, or dissatisfaction with our programmes are not valid grounds for a refund.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us within 48 hours of the transaction with the following details:

Full name of the donor
Email address used during donation
Transaction/payment reference number
Amount donated and date of transaction
Reason for the refund request
Screenshot or proof of payment (if available)

5. Refund Processing Time

Once a refund request is received and verified, we will process the refund within 7–10 business working days. The refunded amount will be credited back to the original payment method used at the time of donation. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

6. Tax Exemption Certificates

If a refund is processed for a donation for which a tax exemption certificate (80G receipt) has already been issued, the certificate will be considered void and must be returned or destroyed. JFK will inform the relevant tax authorities if required.

7. Cancellation of Recurring Donations

If you have set up a recurring/monthly donation and wish to cancel it, please contact us at least 5 business days before the next scheduled deduction. Cancellations made after the deduction has been processed will not be eligible for a refund for that cycle.

To cancel a recurring donation, email us at jharkhandfoundationkendra@gmail.com with the subject line: "Cancel Recurring Donation".

8. Disputes

If you believe your refund request has been incorrectly denied, you may escalate the matter by writing to us at the address below. We are committed to resolving all disputes fairly and transparently within 15 business days of receiving an escalation.

9. Changes to This Policy

JFK reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Updated policies will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our donation services after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
